Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks "Spring Cleaning" Tips

Make sure your forklift trucks keep on running through the summer heat. These tips can help get your forklifts ready for the spring and summer months ahead.

  2. 1. Better safe than sorry. Check your forklift truck's service history and inspect all sealed areas of engine for oil links. Some environments may contribute to more frequent service intervals.

  4. 2. You deserve a breath of fresh air. Inspect air intake system for proper sealing.

  6. 3. Take charge! Inspect the forklift's battery, cables, electrical wires and spark plugs for wear and corrosion.

  8. 4. Staying cool can be a breeze. Check the radiator hoses, clamps and cap in the cooling system.

  10. 5. You'll never know until you look. Check your forklift's transmission fluid for appropriate level,
  11. color and odor.

  13. 6. Stop! Before you go any further, test the brake pedal height and free play operation for proper adjustment.

  15. 7. Look closer. Check pump, cylinders, hoses and valves for leaks, wear and/or proper settings.

  17. 8. Sometimes you just get worn out. Inspect the forks for cracks, height and appropriate thickness.

  19. 9. Inspect the condition of valves, rubber parts and hoses in the steering wheel. Trust us, we won't steer you in the wrong direction.

  21. 10. Keep your wheels in motion. Check the front and rear tire pressure. Note any cuts, chunking or shredding.
